Tombstone Tales

Not all the time of Sappington-Concord Historical Society members is spent in meetings and presentations, or pouring over records and documents. Every now and then, early morning will find said members at the St Lucas UCC or St John’s UCC cemeteries, ready to portray six historic characters of the Sappington-Concord area. We dress in period clothing and follow a script introducing our lives and times to the people of today who come to see us. We bring a few props to illustrate our stories and field questions from the visitors. It is an enlightening time for the visitors and the characters both.
The most recent Tombstone Tales presentation was for Truman Elementary School 5th graders in May 2009
