Ron Emmenegger speaks at Sunset Hills Historical Society

At its March 28 monthly meeting, the Sunset Hills Historical Society will feature speaker Ron Emmenegger presenting his family’s experience of witnessing the area’s progress from an agricultural community to the current suburb.

The Emmenegger family came to America from Switzerland in the 1830’s as dairy farmers, settling in Bella Villa. The family eventually continued in the tradition of residential building and real estate. The name is today synonymous with Emmenegger Nature Park, which was donated to the City of Kirkwood in the 1970’s, as well as the Nancy Eschbach Forest River Trail Park.

“As the fifth generation of the Emmenegger family is now involved in the building and real estate industry,” said Ron Emmenegger, “I am proud of the small part we have played in this area’s development as we continue to be a part of that growth.”

We hope you can join us for this special event at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Hills City Hall, 3939 South Lindbergh Blvd.  See you then!
