Sunset Hills Historical Society Hosts Terry McMillan Former Mizzou Quarterback July 27

Monday, July 27 at 7:00 pm, the public is invited to the monthly meeting of the Sunset Hills Historical Society on Monday, July 27 at 7:00 PM at the Sunset Hills City Hall.

Terry McMillan is best known locally for his leadership of the Missouri Tiger ’68 and ’69 football teams during the push to the Gator Bowl and the Orange Bowl.  As quarterback McMillan learned about ‘the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat’ and has since moved on to be a successful businessman and public speaker.

“I look forward to speaking at the upcoming Sunset Hills Historical Society meeting,” said McMillan, the National Sales Manager for Diversified Insurance Management in Plano, TX.  “I have so many fond memories of my time living there. We’ll take a ‘trip down memory lane,’ and talk about the generational changes in Mizzou football.”

“My life would have not been the same had it not been for my experiences at the University of Missouri in the late 60’s,” stated McMillan. “I am so proud to have been a part of that era!”

McMillan added, “Memories seem to be getting better the older I get. I can’t remember the bad ones, yet I can embellish the good ones.”

The Sunset Hills Historical Society meetings typically take place on the fourth Monday of the month in the Sunset Hills City Hall, at 3939 South Lindbergh Blvd., in Sunset Hills.
